Kalmar Strategy, Sustainability & Technology Division is looking for а Robotics Architect who will ensure robotics technology leadership in the ports & terminals,distribution and industrial segment solutions.

 

As a Robotics Architect your role will be to ensure state of the art architecture design and professional development of the robotics technology platform. You will be responsible for robotics architecture and participate hands-on in robotics technology development.

 

The position is located in Tampere or Helsinki, Finland or Ljungby, Sweden.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Chief architect for robotics systems
  • Chief engineer for robotics development and engineering
  • Co-design of the equipment automation readiness (vehicle control system and actuators)
  • Co-design the end-to-end automation systems, i.e. robotised equipment, automation software, remote operations centre, and infrastructure systems.
  • Project management for selected robotics platform development projects or sub-projects
  • Development environment and tools
  • Support for customer delivery and pilot projects.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Master of Science or Doctor of Science in Technology in a relevant field, such as automation, control,robotics, mechatronics, automotive engineering
  • Senior technology specialist / technology manager roles in the field of mobile robotics
  • Deep knowledge on robotics technologies (perception, computer vision, machine learning, or deep learning and actuation), good understanding of vehicle control systems and functional safety
  • Development and systems engineering process understanding
  • Vision for direction and management skills for execution
  • Skilled  to challenge technology status quo and identify smarter ways of working
  • Good verbal and written English.
