Project Manager, Software

Purpose of the position

 

Project Manager, Software will be accountable for leading and driving one or more projects of automation systems and software solutions, providing transparency to all related operations and
acting as the key point of contact for TAS customer and NPD project directors/managers to ensure timely high quality delivery to customers.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Be accountable for managing software and HW systems aspects of a customer or a NPD project
  • Provide visibility on EPIC portfolio status linked to a customer or a NPD project
  • Follow, report and manage development activities, risks and critical paths
  • Overall common project management responsibilities (scope, quality, schedule and budget)
  • Provide continuous high-quality software releases to customers together with the rest of the Release Management team.
     

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education

  • M.Sc or B.Sc in Software or Automation Engineering

 

Experience

  • Several years’ experience of SW R&D project and program management
  • Experience on automation systems
  • Experience on agile and lean methodologies in software development

 

Competencies

 

  • Be motivated and persistent with good people and communication skills
  • Always driving for results and solutions, instead of just reporting statuses
  • Be capable of seeing both the big picture and the small details. Capable of managing dependencies with interest of going as deep as needed in analysis
  • Have general high level knowledge of KalmarOne product
  • Have understanding of software development and testing
  • Be capable of understanding and managing critical path and risks in a coherent way
  • Be capable of understanding technical concepts
  • Have good communication skills in English
