Master Data Specialist

Purpose of the position

 

The global Master Data Management team in Kalmar Mobile Solutions Services is looking for new talent for a Master Data Specialist. Responsible for securing installed base and maintenance data, making sure it is usable and beneficial for Kalmar’s service business operations worldwide.

 

The position is full time and located in Tampere, Finland.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:


This position will include both daily support cases and a wide variety of master data related tasks and responsibilities based on your own skill set, interests and ability to acquire new information.

 

  • Maintain, harmonize and enhance global installed base data
  • Secure installed base data quality
  • Support installed base concept, process and policies development
  • Coach installed base content owners and end users
  • Secure quality of related service data including maintenance plans and running hours
  • Assist other teams and organisations in master data related matters
  • Cooperate with different stakeholders from R&D to front line sales and service
  • Cooperate with Cargotec IM, digital tools development and business intelligence to maintain and improve systems and tools usability
  • Identify and drive internal master data related development needs
  • Support your colleagues with item data tasks and objectives

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Ideally you would have a few years of relevant experience in heavy machine industry or/and in spare parts or services business. You are a team player and are able to put the team's benefits above your own. You have a decent amount of IT know-how which is required when developing master data processes and related digital tools. In addition to this you need:

 

  • Fluent English and Finnish communication
  • Bachelors or masters degree in relevant area (Engineering / Information Technology / Computing / Business Management) 
  • Ability to learn and adapt new things and guidelines quickly and continuously
  • Ability to empathize and recognize the needs of customers and stakeholders
  • Problem solving and investigative attitude
  • Ambition to get things done
  • Winning and positive attitude
  • Strong overall IT skills
  • Understanding and experience of ERP (SAP) and preferably PDM systems
  • Networking capabilities with collaborative mindset
  • Understanding of services & aftermarket business

  • Former experience or knowledge of cargo handling solutions
  • The ability to establish and maintain stakeholder networks independently
  • Experience of working in international complex organizations
  • Business intelligence and reporting tools (Qlik Sense)
  • Basics of Python or/and SQL
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, IoT, RPA and integrations 
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as technical drawings, parts catalogs and maintenance manuals
  • Google Workspace (G Suite)
  • Supply chain and logistics experience
