Master Data Engineer

The Kalmar Services, global Master Data Management team is looking for a Master Data Engineer who will be responsible for correct global part information, making it possible to source and use correct parts in the aftermarkets and also in the product lines engineering.

The position is located in Tampere, Finland. 

Main tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and maintain parts global item data according to agreed policies
  • Solve stakeholder questions related to item master data
  • Provide added value for item data content and verify data quality and completeness 
  • Develop performance of related systems (key-user)
  • Main focus is to cooperate with our global market area stakeholders with registering new parts, parts origin investigations and performing data analyses.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate would have at least 3 year of relevant experience in spare parts or services. Parts origin investigations need technical competence. Developing item management processes and IT tools need some IT know-how.

Ideally you have: 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Strong general IT-skills
  • Experience using or contributing in PDM systems and ERP systems
  • Understanding of technical documentation and drawing standards
  • Process development skills
  • Customer support and problem solving attitude
  • Ability to learn and adapt new things continuously
  • Ability to work under heavy pressure and get things done to keep agreed deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder networks and you take things forward independently yet in good collaboration with others in a global team
  • Working experience in an international environment
  • Fluent English and Finnish communication skills (both written and spoken); other language skills is seen as an advantage.
