Lead, Service Tools Development

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lead to drive development and training of digital tools used by Kalmar Services’ frontline units. In this role, you will be aiming at increased efficiency and increased payback of investments in tools and platforms, and wider usage of the tools. The job will provide you with one of our key IT roles to help Kalmar Service’s business to serve our customers continuously better and in a more productive way. You will be part of the Digital Tools team at Kalmar Services. The team executes IT projects and manages continuous development of tools. The team is located at Tampere, Finland, which is also the preferred place for the role. Anyhow, the location is negotiable among Cargotec offices depending on the applicant.

Main tasks and responsibilties:

  • Driving development for ease of use functionalities of digital tools used by frontlines, aiming at increased efficiency and payback of investments, as well as wider usage of the tools
  • Support business requirement collection and use case creation for the tool and reporting development
  • Identifying bottlenecks and pain points of Kalmar frontline units in using the tools (e.g. SAP)
  • Compile material for and conduct training in use of the applications
  • Conceptualization of simple dashboards/reports based on analyzed data
  • Identify business process improvements and changes and collect and specify change requirements for the applications
  • Conduct and coordinate testing of application changes.
What you’ll need to succeed:

We are looking for a team player with a problem solving mindset who can proactively work on own initiative. You must have the ability to lead and guide virtual teams in the IT solution development of the area of responsibility. The role requires ability to work well under pressure and tight schedules.

Ideally you have:

  • Commercial or technical background with at least a Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Customer service mind-set and good communication skills
  • Proven experience in IT development
  • Super user or key user level IT application experience (SAP ERP and FSM tool knowledge is considered as a benefit)
  • Good understanding of project management and implementation processes
  • Ability and authority to bring together different stakeholders and funnel Kalmar Services’ business requirements in the global Cargotec IT solution framework.
