The global Master Data Management team in Kalmar Mobile Solutions Services is looking for new talent for a Data Analyst. You will be responsible for securing Item and Installed Base data quality by analysing and visualizing data from several sources, identifying areas of development and contributing to the building of effective ways to improve them. You are not afraid to take corrective hands-on actions yourself or driving changes in your organisation. Together with your team you will contribute in the development and maintenance of master data related systems and processes based on business requirements. By doing this you are making sure necessary and valuable data is there to best support Kalmar’s service business operations worldwide.

The position is full time and the preferred location for the position is Tampere/Helsinki, Finland.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Secure Item and Installed Base -data quality in master systems by analysing and visualising data, recognizing patterns and development areas, communicating those to the stakeholders and taking corrective actions yourself.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders to understand what data is important and provides the most value for the Kalmar Service business.
  • Together with your colleagues turn business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
  • Identify and drive internal master data related development needs
  • Support your colleagues and other teams with hands-on master data tasks and objectives (PDM, ERP and case management)
  • Collaborate with Cargotec and Kalmar IM to develop available data catalogue, data models and analytics solutions 

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree from relevant field (e.g. computer science/information technology/knowledge management)
  • Or equivalent work experience

 

Experience

  • 1+ years of relevant experience (e.g. service business or heavy machinery industry)
  • Hands-on experience in writing SQL
  • Solid knowledge of basic office tools (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Basics of business intelligence tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Quick Sight, Data Studio)
  • Experience of ERP (SAP) and PDM systems is a clear advantage
  • Experience of Python or other data analysis programming language is seen as a benefit
  • Experience of master data related tasks is seen as a benefit

 

Competencies

  • Ready to work hands-on and support colleagues with daily tasks
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Some understanding of heavy machinery industry and service business
  • Knowledge of supply chain is a benefit
  • Attitude to learn, develop and investigate into new areas
  • Strong overall IT skills and ability to interpret new systems
  • Problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good spoken and written communication skills in English and preferably Finnish
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder networks
