Chief Engineer, Automation System Testing

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

 

The purpose of the position is to ensure readiness and high quality of the automation system (equipment, hardware, software).

 

The person in this role has the main responsibility of the verification of automation platform in various product development development and customer solution projects. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

  • Planning of automation system testing
  • Availability of live automation test environment at test yard and operations center
    • Test environment planning
    • Ordering relevant components
    • Leading commissioning and installations with relevant stakeholders (equipment, fences, access control system HW, software)
    • System Configuration for test yard & operations center
  • Execution and documentation of system testing with relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrations at control center and test yard
  • Support for customer delivery and pilot projects

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent in problem solving
  • Professional in documentation
  • Good in collaboration
  • Good communications in English
  • Capability to challenge technology status quo and identify smarter ways of working
  • Project management experience is considered as a plus
  • Earlier experience on automation projects is considered as a plus
  • Software and/or System testing and test planning experience
  • Software and/or system integration experience
  • Knowledge on software development
  • Knowledge on automation and robotics hardware
  • Earlier experience on automation projects is considered as a plus.
