Chief Engineer, Automation System Integration

The purpose of the position is to build a functional automation system by integrating existing and new products and technologies. The systems integration covers software integration on simulators, as well as  software and hardware integration on live equipment and live test environment.


The person in this role is a hand-on project engineer who enjoys collaborating with skilled people and working with systems consisting of software, hardware and equipment. 




  • Lead integrator and project engineer for the automation platform end-to-end architecture, i.e. automation system software and interfaces, operations center, robotised equipment and infrastructure systems.
    • Automation system software and interface with Terminal Operating System and other IT systems
    • Robotised equipment with onboard autonomy software and hardware
    • Automation infrastructure software and hardware
    • System configurations for simulations and live environments
    • Hardware in the loop simulators 
  • Planning and execution of system integration in simulators and automation ready equipment.
  • Project management for selected automation platform projects
  • Support for customer delivery and pilot projects.

  • Project management experience is considered as a plus
  • Earlier experience on automation project engineering is considered as a plus
  • Software and/or system integration experience
