Chief Engineer, Automation Software Architecture & Development

Purpose of the position

 

The purpose of the position is to ensure state of the art architecture design and development of the automation platform. This person leads the architecture and development of the cloud and back-end software systems.

 

This person is expected to be eager for growth, in order to take full responsibility for the automation architecture and development.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

  • Lead architect for cloud and back-end software and terminal operations center design
  • Co-design of the end-to-end architecture for automation platform, i.e. automation systems software and interfaces, remote operations center, robotised equipment and infrastructure systems.
  • Project manager for selected automation platform projects
  • Development environment and tools
  • Support for customer delivery and pilot projects
  • Engineering support for customer projects
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Excellent problem solving
  • Professional in documentation
  • Good in collaboration
  • Capability to challenge technology status quo and identify smarter ways of working
  • Project management experience is considered as a plus
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Software architecture experience
  • Hands-on software development knowledge in cloud and and back-end servers
  • Hands-on automation hardware knowledge are considered as plus
  • Knowledge of terminal operation, terminal operating systems and terminal operations center is considered as a plus
  • Earlier experience on automation project engineering is considered as a plus.
