Supplier Quality Engineer

Purpose of the position

Ensuring components of the appropriate quality for production.
• Supervision over suppliers
• Reporting of nonconformities to the supplier
• Component checking / qualification
• Handling of suppliers' complaints (issuing / reporting / recovering costs / evaluation of corrective actions, closing complaints)
• Supplier escalation in the QDC process
• Supervision over non-conforming material
• Organization of component repairs,
• Returning the material,
• Providing substitutes,
• Ordering / executing appropriate transfers,
• Re-qualification of the material,
• Scrapping the material,
• Checking components (visual inspection and measuring tools, standards, specifications)
• Participation in the process of solving material quality problems.
• Approval of new parts and parts from new suppliers (including part location / serialization)
• Visits to suppliers - audits, inspection
• Preparation and maintenance of documentation and records of the quality assurance system (Control Plans / QAP, others)
• Participation in FMEA teams
• Continuous improvement of the product / material / process / IMS
• Applying for implementation / Implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions in the supply chain
• Taking care of good work organization and order in the workplace (5S)
• Compliance with company regulations
• Compliance with health and safety rules
• Taking care of the property and image of the company
• Ensuring a good working atmosphere
• Participation in internal and external training courses to raise qualifications
• Keeping statistics and reporting on time to interested parties
• Obligation to follow the supervisor's instructions regarding work, if they are not inconsistent with the law or the employment contract.
• Obligation to perform work conscientiously and carefully.
• Caring for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management System (creating, improving process and system documentation and keeping it up-to-date and useful, complying with health and safety and environmental protection regulations (segregating waste, preventing leaks, following procedures, processes, instructions) in force at the Kalmar factory).

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education - Basic - Higher education and relevant experience
          - Desirable - Degree in Automation technology, Electronics, Information Systems, Computer Science or related disciplines

Experience - Basic - Min. 2 years experience on similar position
       - Desirable - Experience in Automation industry

Skills - Basic - Knowledge of technical drawing, electrical, block and ideological diagrams
Ability to use measuring devices (insulation breakdown meter, oscilloscope, clamp meter, etc.)
Practical knowledge of electricity and electronics
Computer skills (Google, office)
Knowledge of the spoken and written English language
Ability to cooperate in a team 
       - Desirable - Knowledge of Networks technology: WLAN & LAN
Knowledge of issues in the field of electrical engineering (motors, generators, AVR systems)
Knowledge of issues related to industrial automation (PLC controllers, inverters, encoders, communication via CAN, LAN)
Knowledge of Quality tools: FMEA / APQP / PPAP / 8D /
Very good knowledge of business and technical English
