Kalmar Mobile Solutions is looking for a Sourcing Specialist for the Electric and Electronics Category to join and to secure total cost-efficient products and solutions within the responsibility area.

This position is accountable for managing the sourcing strategy and activities in the Electric & Electronic category to deliver world-class results in the scope of a global organization. World-class is defined as optimal Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance as well as Risk management. The Sourcing Specialist is an important member of the sourcing team and must be well aligned with operations (Quality, Planning, Finance, etc.) as well as with the engineering team on projects or new products. Essential to this position is leading all supplier-related activities, both for ongoing production as well as new product introduction.

The position will be based in one of our main locationsStargard/Poland.

What you’ll need to succeed:

●    Support category leader in developing global category strategy by working together with global cross functional category team and stakeholders.
●    Manage the supplier base to meet the performance requirements in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation, and Technology development.
●    Drive cost reduction by leading cost-saving initiatives and project management skills to effectively reduce total cost of components.
●    Contract and negotiation management with suppliers.
●    Working with the Business Division on New Products development.
●    Item sourcing in the responsible categories by following category strategy and QAP guidelines.
●    Demonstrate teamwork with colleagues to achieve results.
●    Demonstrate a business mindset with sustainable results.
●    Implement and maintain proactive supplier management that continually improves a small, high performing supply base through a supplier performance measurement and development program



●    Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering. 
●    A Master’s degree is a plus but not required. 
●    Documented solid background/experience from qualified purchasing and management work in combination with documented "internal education"



●    Experience from international sourcing work, including ensuring procurement, logistics, quality, and technology content for current suppliers.
●    Profound knowledge in the Electric/Electronic category
●    Documented negotiation experience in international purchasing/logistics work
●    Experience of project management



●    The ideal candidate will bring purchasing/sourcing/supply chain experience with an in-depth knowledge of people and processes, preferably with an OEM or tier 1 supplier environment.
●    Value Engineering/Cost Reduction & Standardization experience highly preferred. 
●    Project Management experience.
●    Excellent contract management and negotiation skills. 
●    Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
●    Experience with an ERP system. Preference is given to those with INFOR LN system experience.
●    Capable for domestic and international travel for 5% - 30% of the time.
●    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
●    Knowledge in Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain optimization is valued.
●    Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project, or G-suite apps.
●    Professional ISM affiliation/certification strongly desired.
