Product Engineer

To ensure a close co-operation between the RDE department and actual MAU departments for the product type Reachstackers within the Business Line Counterbalance Container Handler (CCH) in Kalmar Mobile Solution Division (KAMOS).
●    Acting as RDE’s first point of contact for the actual MAU’s departments for any technical issues, support or information. This includes troubleshooting and root cause analyses as well as Change Request documentation.
●    When applicable, communicating technical requirements and information from RDE to the actual MAU’s departments, e.g. EOs, machine functions, test instructions. Beforehand the information needs to be retrieved (and understood) from the appropriate person(s) within RDE and CCH Product Quality departments.
●    Coordination of technical issues with other MAU’s Product Engineers when applicable and requested by the Chief Engineer.
●    In consultation with the responsible Chief Engineer, provide technical engineering support for local Production, Production Engineering, Quality, Sourcing and Suppliers.
●    In consultation with the responsible Chief Engineer, contribute in RDE support for CORE activities. This includes, but not limited to, securing that components and items from a new supplier meet specified technical requirements.
●    Execute Customer Engineering (CE) and Product Care (PC) design work as requested and planned by the Chief Engineer.
●    Authority to request hands-on assistance by the RDE Production Support Engineer or equal competence within RDE.
●    Plan and execute your own activities, according to specified requirements and agreed time schedule, in consultation with the Chief Engineer.

●    Education level needs to be a University degree in engineering mechanics or similar knowledge.

●    Sound technical knowledge regarding ME product types or similar rubber tire vehicles.
●    Experience in engineering tools used by Kalmar are qualifying
●    Experiences from similar tasks are qualifying.

●    Competence in product development and engineering activities is needed.
●    Ability to focus on customer needs.
●    Good communication skills are important.
●    Should be energetic, have a good driving force and be result oriented.
●    Problem solver.
●    Positive attitude and ability to cooperate.
●    Fluent in the local language, advanced in English both in speaking and writing.
