Product Engineer, Control System/Electric

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

To ensure a close co-operation between the R&D department and Factory in Stargard for the product type Forklift truck in Kalmar Division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Acting as R&D’s first point of contact for the actual factory departments for control system/electrical issues, support or information related to Forklift truck products. This includes troubleshooting and root cause analyses.
• Communicating technical requirements and information from R&D to the factory departments, e.g. Engineering changes, machine functions, test instructions. 
• Coordination of technical issues with other Product Engineers when applicable and requested by the Chief Engineer.
• Provide test and verification of function and system on Forklift trucks requested by R&D department in the factory
• Provide technical engineering support for local Production, Production Engineering, Quality, Sourcing and Suppliers.
• Contribute in R&D support for cost reduction activities. This includes, but not limited to, securing that components and items from a new supplier meet specified technical requirements.
• Support Customer Engineering (CE) and Product Care (PC) design work as requested and planned by the Chief Engineer.
• Plan and execute your own activities, according to specified requirements and agreed time schedule, in consultation with the Chief Engineer.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Education level needs to be a technical university degree in mechatronics, automation or similar.

Experience

• Technical knowledge regarding control systems, electrics on mobile equipment product types, other experience with control system is qualifying
• Experience with troubleshooting of the machines with control system 
• Knowledge of the Can Bus system
• Basic knowledge of the powertrain and power hydraulics on  mobile equipment product types or similar rubber tire vehicles.
• Experiences from similar tasks are qualifying.
