Kalmar Mobile Solutions is starting a major strategic transformation program to take our supply chain to the next level. We have an ambition to cut our lead times in half, which will require a major reengineering of our processes as well as the supporting tools.

We are ramping up the competence in our information management team to take on this challenge. We are seeking a supply chain IT professional to join the journey.

Kalmar Mobile Solution Division is looking to hire an experienced IM Manager, Factory Solutions. In this role, you will take responsibility for supply chain related solution management with specific focus on factory solutions, as well as technical ownership for these solutions.

You can expect to work in cooperation with Kalmar IM, Cargotec IM, Kalmar business functions, as well as with external service providers.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
•    Develop a strategy and roadmap for factory solutions for Kalmar Mobile Solutions
•    Manage the business requirements and technical requirements in factory solutions area
•    Secure that the factory solutions are supporting Kalmar business requirements
•    Own the integration design of factory solutions
•    Contribute to the selection of new technologies in the factory solutions area
•    Manage technology and service vendors in co-operation with Cargotec IM services
•    Drive harmonized use of factory solutions in Kalmar manufacturing sites
•    Project management of assigned development projects
•    Coordinate super users and key user network in the solution area
•    Cooperate with Cargotec IM Services to secure trouble free operations of the applications and integrations and quality IT support services.

What you’ll need to succeed:

In order to succeed in this role, you should possess the ability to lead people in virtual teams, be natural at building internal and external networks in an international environment, but also be comfortable with hands-on technical work.  

Ideally you have:
•    Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant experience 
•    Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
•    Good knowledge of IT capabilities specifically in the factory solutions area in manufacturing industry (e.g. Manufacturing Execution Systems, Factory ERP systems)
•    Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, deployment of RFID, 3D technologies or other technologies enabling manufacturing digitalization and automation is a benefit
•    Knowledge of PDM/PLM and engineering systems is a benefit 
•    Knowledge of factory processes (e.g. factory order handling, inventory management, quality control, assembly and routing planning, delivery/shipping) 
•    Good communication skills
•    Relationship building
•    Project management skills is a benefit
•    Process improvement skills, experience of lean manufacturing or similar methodologies is a benefit
•    Fluency in English
