Sales Support Manager

Kalmar Mobile Solutions, Counterbalanced Container Handlers' Division is looking for an Sales Support Manager to join our team in Shanghai, China or in Singapore supporting business growth according to set targets.


This person is expected to be eager for growth in the role, in order to take full responsibility to develop the CCH order intake in specified regions reaching the targets on OI and margin. 


Sales Support Manager works closely with head of sales support, division head, Market Area’s sales organization and sales representatives, including dealer representatives, engineering and production personnel to offer best technical and commercial solutions for specific applications and customer needs. This role reports to Director, Business Development and Sales Support, CCH.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and action plans in tight collaboration with each market area, with a target to grow order intake and gross margins. Short and long term.
  • Support sales representatives in technical and commercial questions related to the applications of the products and make recommendations.
  • Sales profitability together with regional sales.
  • Follow up 
    • Activity plans
    • Performance on agreed targets
  • Participate in monthly and annual sales planning and forecasting at the sales area.
  • Take responsibility for the development of common tools and systems, technical specifications and price calculation tools to support conceptual sales.
  • May provide direction and training to other team members as required.
  • Participate in development of marketing and sales programs including launching of new products.
  • Competitor follow-up.
  • Increase market intelligence and our awareness of customer demands and the competitors
  • Support the sales men with trainings, configurations, technical and commercial advice

Key accountabilities

  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met
  • CCH order intake for region
  • CCH GM for region
  • CCH customer satisfaction
  • Market areas satisfaction with the CCH division support

Position requirements


  • University degree, M.Sc. is preferred or equivalent experience in engineering and sales.


  • Knowledge of material and container handling business is preferred.
  • Good Technical understanding of our type of products.


  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate with individuals and/or groups in international projects.
  • Fluent in English both in speaking and writing.  Additional languages skills of great interest.
  • Ability to do independent work as well as teamwork
  • Great accuracy and well structured 
  • Customer focused and experience and/or interest in multicultural business environment
  • Capabilities for cross functional work
  • Ability to focus in a global environment


  • Regular visits to own market areas minimum 8-10 times per year
