Material Planner

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Collecting and interpreting analytical and performance data to improve material planning KPIs. Provide analysis on safety stock levels, minimum order quantities/order increment, material lead times on a regular basis to identify continuous improvement opportunities including but not limited to inventory management.
  2. Prepare material planning KPI reports and updates on suppliers’ delivery performance. Direct contact with suppliers and other relative internal functions to drive supply chain improvements
  3. Execute daily material planning activities according to monthly IBP.
  4. Be responsible to have the Right Part at the Right Place at the Right Time.
  5. Co-operate with related parties like BOM engineers to better execute the engineering change and eliminate obsolete stock.
  6. Other tasks assigned by Material planning supervisor

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Experience
    • More than 5 years production/material planning working experience preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment;
    • Experience of working closely with suppliers
       
  2. Skills
    • Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities;
    • Strong sense of work responsibility and proactive work attitude to the team;
    • Good communication skills
    • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
    • Hands on experience of an ERP system;
    • Fluent oral & written English.
    • Good learning skills
    • Familiar with Google suites would be beneficial
