Service Sales Executive

Purpose of the position

Kalmar Brazil is looking for a Service Sales Executive to promote and sell the organisation's services including spare parts, and provide technical sales support. The suitable candidate has to develop and execute solution sales plans as well as develop a solid understanding of customers’ businesses and of how to create values by applying adapted solutions through a value-based selling behaviours.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective Execution;  

  • Promote, quote and sell parts/services by analyzing the territory/market's potential, generating and  pursuing sales leads, making market prospection, visiting existing and new customers and following closely  sales opportunities;  

  • Built, develop and maintain positive customer relationships by understanding customer needs,  suggesting appropriate products and services and expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to improve customer satisfaction and retention;  

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities,  potential for new products and services and market conditions ; 

  • Document leads and opportunities into the CRM and keep it updated with reliable information and use  it as a main sales management tool;  

  • Preparing and submitting tenders and quotations according to customer requirements; 

  • Uses initiative and experience to promote and sell more complex and demanding products and services. Works independently to complete given assignments and projects;

  • Lead and manage a bigger sales data. Contribute to and facilitate business strategies for the defined business. Make independent decisions about sales and project execution matters taking in consideration the limits agreed with the processes; 

  • Be effective in term of cost management travelling in a smart way, planning the visits in advance and ensuring the best results in each customer visit plan;  

  • Prepare, plan and schedule actions, customer visits and activities to move forward sales opportunities  as well as the MEQ and/or services solutions material to be presented to customers covering the main  business segments;  

  • Perform required product training;  

  • Make follow up to the entire sales process including order process, contract terms, delivery and  commissioning and debt collection.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate would have capabilities for cross functional work. They would also have good communication and social skills, with a customer-oriented mindset and also be a result-driven approach.

Ideally you have: 

- Suitable educational background on technical and commercial subjects (Bachelor/academic level) 

- At least 3 years of experience in service department

- Experience in ports & terminal experience is a plus

- English and Spanish proficiency are desirable

- System knowledge: SAP, Google platform
