Analyst Indirect Procurement

Kalmar Brazil is looking for Indirect Procurement & Process Analyst (Temp)

To market, consolidate proposals and analyze better cost for Latin American region. The right candidate has to support the other departments focused on generating value for the company, as well as ensuring the attendance to the needs of each area fulfilling the routines that will be entrusted to it.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct administrative activities involving the analysis of requests for non-productive purchases, such as office materials, travel, cleaning, canopy and building maintenance, and logistics services for fleet vehicles through the management of infrastructure, assets and administrative contracts in order to to maintain the operation of the units in Latam;
  • Negotiate with suppliers prices, terms and conditions of purchases aiming at the best cost and quality for the company;
  • Evaluate, classify and choose the supplier market to maintain a portfolio of suppliers updated;
  • To coordinate all commercial aspects of the contracts concluded, including renegotiation and issuance of contractual additives, in order to ensure the effective fulfillment of the same by all parties involved.
  • Develop and monitor reports for performance analysis of suppliers, price charts, cost sheets and comparative proposals for both contracting and approval of suppliers;
  • Analyze contracts for the acquisition of goods or services, requesting all necessary documentation from the supplier, checking them and correcting, when necessary, the documents required to formalize contracts;
  • Register suppliers in the computerized system to keep the portfolio of active suppliers updated;
  • Ensure the necessary inputs requested by internal customers through price surveys in the domestic and international market aiming at the best cost, quality and term of service within the established service deadlines;
  • Execute the activities related to the control of costs and release of payments related to purchases and contracts of the company under its management obeying the financial guidelines of the company;
  • Contribute to the elaboration of internal Policies and Procedures of the company, as well as to act according to such regiments;
  • Perform other tasks compatible with the requirements for the exercise of the function whenever necessary in order to optimize the results of the area.
  • Ensure business compliance to company policies;
  • Ensure compliant behavior according to Code of Conducts

What you’ll need to succeed:

The ideal candidate would have capabilities for cross functional work. They would also have good communication, negotiation and social skills, ability to focus locally in a global environment.

Ideally you have:

Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and negotiation, preferably in the maintenance area
Desired experience with process quality tools

  • Able to travel > 50%
  • Experience of solution creation 
  • Capabilities for cross functional work
  • English and Spanish language skills
