Kalmar Automation Solutions (KAS) is looking for a VP Service, Kalmar Automation Solutions who will have the end to end responsibility for the Service Operations strategy in North America.  This position is to be located on the east coast and will require frequent traveling.
The key aspects of this position will be to develop and manage all customer relationships and business activities (repair, maintenance, refurbishments, spare parts, and managed contracts) for the KAS product line in North America.  This position will  work closely with sales teams - locally and globally -  to develop joint approaches to the customers to promote the full life cycle benefits of our products and services.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

●    P & L Ownership of the region for KAS core services
●    Develop local marketing plans for the area in accordance with Kalmar strategy
●    Driving sales opportunities with Intermodal and Ports/Terminal services including customer interface, sales processes and Salesforce accuracy
●    Customer support with deep understanding of automated equipment
●    Champion change management to support process improvements and systems implementation
●     Lead and develop the talents in the local organization by training and development, ensure retention of key persons
●    Be part of a global team
●    Ensure smooth and seamless delivery of products and projects
●    Post delivery support including warranty and product support
●    Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices

What you’ll need to succeed:

●    University degree in engineering, supply chain management or business
●    10+ years experience in service business management and leadership/management role in service business
●    Experience in marine industry and/ or intermodal container terminals
●    Ability to work and lead in a global matrix organization combining many different cultures and ways of working
●    Lead with purpose and ability to set and follow clear priorities, goals and objectives in very complex and demanding environment
●    Able to interact fluently with all levels of the organization internally and externally
