National Services Manager

Purpose of the position

The Sales Manager - Service will be responsible for the leadership of service revenue opportunities across the Australian market in line with the organization's growth strategy.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and pursue profitable opportunities within the Australian market
  • Leverage existing relationships and networks within the maritime customer community to validate opportunities, gather intel, shape program requirements and position Kalmar and its subsidiaries for success
  • Influence the development of Kalmar systems, products Including Bromma and solutions to ensure they meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Drive the continued evolution of Kalmar services strategy and its effective implementation across the company in area of responsibility, together with the Service Director. 
  • Engage with new and existing clients and drive increased revenue by winning new project work and service agreements.
  • Prepare responses to tenders, quotations, and work estimates. 
  • Establish and expand customer network and market intelligence.
  • Identify and follow-up on potential sales and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Inver Port Services in order to develop and secure new business with current customers and new business with new customers. 
  • Complete client needs assessments and based on this feedback, develop, plan and implement the delivery of required solutions, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and improved revenue and margin to the Kalmar business
  • Maintain service opportunity pipeline in Salesforce and participate in pipeline review meetings.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, social events and forums
     

What you’ll need to succeed

Education

  • Engineering or trade (mechanical or electrical) background, coupled with sales experience

Experience

  • 3+ years experience in similar role
  • 5+ years driving sales 
  • Industrial/commercial heavy equipment background
  • Experience in heavy industry / container terminals and maritime ports.


Knowledge & Competencies

  • Ability to think strategically and communicate at different levels
  • Good level of influencing & Negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments
  • English fluency is required
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Google Docs
  • Proficient with SAP and Salesforce
  • Sales and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Administration skills
