Field Service Technician

Purpose of the position

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to work in our Brisbane Branch. The purpose of the job is to provide Service, Repair & maintenance of Cranes, Tailgates, Hook lifts, Moffett forklifts, and other hydraulic mechanical equipment. 
The role provides the opportunity to deliver mobile field service assistance to our customers with a fully equipped service vehicle. The key location will be Brisbane, but the person must be willing to travel for field service.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Getting the job done within a timeframe, to the Kalmar standard
  • Maintain continual compliance with OH&S requirements of industry standards
  • Care and maintenance of service vehicle
  • Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner
  • Attend OEM Kalmar training as required
  • New product installations completed to high quality
  • Accurate service reports
  • Technical fault-finding ability: Hydraulic / Electrical / Mechanical

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education

  • Formal trade qualification (vehicle, mechanic, heavy vehicles - Fitter & or Turner)

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working unsupervised
  • Experience in the mechanical handling, port or industrial operations industry sector
