Warehouse Supervisor

Compensation Data

• Salary: $65,000/year
• Eligible for annual bonus/salary review

Purpose of the position

A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff.  Warehouse Supervisors ensure that production and daily warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.  Important Warehouse Supervisor job duties and responsibilities include:

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
• Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
• Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems
• Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
• Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
• Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in associated field

Experience:

• Knowledge of Lean principles in a warehouse setting
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years in Warehouse and Materials supervision
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years in Logistics coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Familiar with Google applications and prior ERP experience preferred

Competencies:

• Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues
• Clear knowledge of warehouse operations 
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Management skills
• Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently
