Regional IM Manager, Kalmar Americas

Purpose of the position

Leading the regional IT resources and service providers to ensure a high level of IT/IM support for the business in the region. Act as the speaking partner for the business in IT-related demands and support escalations. Drive change and development projects and manage the local IT cost in the region. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

•    Being the speaking partner for the business in your region related to IT/IM demands. 
o    Having regular connections with local management to follow-up ongoing activities
o    Evaluate demands with our service managers/enterprise architect 
o    Mapping and steer the demands to the right party in IM organization
•    Ensuring a high level of IT/IM support delivery together with our Service Managers. 
o    Continuously improve service delivery 
o    Secure fit-for-purpose service and cost level
o    Focus on improving the end-user experience 
•    Ensuring that global policies and procedures are in place and followed. 
•    Being the ‘Go-To’ person in case of IT/IM support escalations. 
•    Work with the business to execute projects and change requests. 
o    Lead & contribute in regional projects like office moves, acquisitions, and divestment activities. 
o    Participate in global projects. 
•    Drive local/country financial planning for IM related costs together with Finance
•    Lead a team of regional IT resources (Country/Onsite IT Coordinator’s) in your region

What you’ll need to succeed

•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems
•    Minimum 10 years’ of technical experience in the IT industry
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
•    Excellent knowledge of Service Management Practices (SIAM) and Service Processes (ITIL framework)
•    Experience working in a global organization and leading virtual teams, preferred
