Production Planner

Purpose of the position

Long and Short-term Production Planning

Main tasks and responsibilities

•    Compliance with system procedures and instructions
•    Planning and scheduling production in the manufacturing area to include:
•    Alignment with the material planners on the availability of components
•    Alignment with the production department on the weekly efficiency of production lines
•    Updates to the Production schedule accordingly
•    Analysis of orders and forecasts received from Master Planner (Order Review & IBP process)
•    Key user in the development of the Enterprise Resource Planning and Lean Execution Systems.
•    Assists Project Leaders with administrative and reporting aspects of multiple and concurrent projects
•    Document and build processes, create work instructions, risk assessments, and submits controlled documents
•    Maintains project files and ensures Bills of Materials are properly set up for Operation, Station and 
•    User areas in respective software applications (ERP & LES).
•    Performs a variety of ad hoc administrative and clerical duties, and other duties as assigned by the manager and staff.
•    Assist in the implementation and daily maintenance of capacity planning.
•    Assist in material follow up actions to ensure customer required dates are met. 
•    Coordinates the daily production release (D-4) meetings to include alterations to the production schedule (skipped and reinserted units).  Working with planning and sourcing on securing part shortages for production.
•    Training new employees
•    Oversee, plan and execute (without managerial authority) operation / assembly work to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment operated safely. Implement key operational level activities to ensure continuous improvement.
•    Monitor the volume and quality of output and adjust tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently and meets the schedule. 
•    Obligation to comply with the instructions of the supervisor, which relate to work, if they are not contrary to law or the contract of employment
•    Obligation to work conscientiously and carefully
•    Caring for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management System (creating, improving process and system documentation and maintaining it continuing timeliness and suitability, compliance with health and safety and environmental protection 

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:
•    
High school diploma or equivalent 


Experience:
•  
 Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position
•    Experience working with INFOR LN ERP system or similar system    
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in planning the production of an international production company


Competencies:
•  
 Has well developed communication skills, both oral and written
•    Organizational skills
•    Striving for continuous improvement 
•    Experience with Lean execution, preferred
•    Has self-confidence to work independently and make important decisions independently
•    Driving force, energetic and result oriented
•    Problem-solver, experience with A3 preferred
•    Positive attitude 
•    Fluent in English, both oral and written
