Pricing Director (Remote)

We are looking for Pricing Director to join our team of professionals and be part of Kalmar Mobile Solutions Strategic Business Unit. Kalmar (KAMOS) is a pioneer in contained and industrial material handling, offering the widest range of cargo handling solutions and services to ports, terminals, distribution centers and to heavy industry. For one of our Divisions, Terminal Tractor, a market leader in its segments, we are looking for a Pricing Director, who will manage and develop the Terminal Tractor Division Pricing strategy & policy.

In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of strategic, tactical and operation pricing initiatives for the Terminal Tractor Division. In addition, you will be responsible for drivigin profitable growth through the development and implementatition of strategic pricing strategies worldwide.

This role is remote, meaning the selected candidate has the choice of working from one of the Cargotec's locations based in AMERICAs or in EUROPE, e.g. USA (Ottawa, Kansas) or Poland (Stargard). This position will report directly to Vice President of Terminal Tractor Division within Kalmar.

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability
  • Lead, coach and develop the Terminal Tractor Sales Support, Business Development team
  • Direct Price Revisions 
  • Monitor and measure Terminal Tractor revenue and profitability development 
  • Monitor competitors and develop competitiveness of Kalmar offering
  • Identify areas of profitability improvement on areas of pricing strategy,  discounts and delivery terms in cooperation with Market Areas
  • Pricing guidance to the Market Areas
  • Working closely with other teams to closely track movements in costs
  • Analysing price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
  • Assisting in creating promotional campaigns
  • Tracking market trends and keeping up to date on prices set by competitors
  • Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education

  • Commercial or Technical background, MBA , finance background preferred.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant business / product experience
  • Leadership in a global matrix team environment
  • Services business experience
  • Experience in in heavy equipment pricing strategy
  • Analytics and business modeling experience.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Shown matrix management skills.  Strong problem solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills, are comfortable dealing with numerical data and have a strong attention to detail.
