Parts Sales Technician

Purpose of the position

Based in Ottawa, Kansas USA, this position is focused on providing technical data based on set of circumstances provided in phone conversation. Research and build data and products to enhance customer satisfaction and company profitability.

Main tasks and responsibilities

    Daily interaction with dealers and field staff to answer inquiries regarding parts technical identification, availability within global system, order status, etc. 
     Entering special orders and internal ordering as required. 
     Learn and understand international shipping methods/Tracking
     Liason in researching part pricing and competitiveness
     Maintain data bases for various reports and vendor partner use. 
     Following internal process to maintain accurate inventory.
     Ensure customer service and satisfaction.

What you’ll need to succeed

•    Minimum of high school diploma or GED.  Candidate with A.S. or B.S./B.A degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
•    Prior industrial equipment/automotive retail parts sales/customer service experience
•    Related experiences in Sourcing, engineering or other related fields would be considered
•    Good time management skills plus organization and prioritization abilities
•    Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
•    Ability to interpret CAD drawings and technical Bill of Material documents
•    Customer service oriented
•    Good communication skills, both verbal and written
•    Solid interpersonal, communications and listening skills
