Making your next move count

We are looking for a part time Business Analyst Intern who will provide market & business intelligence for relevant stakeholders. You will be responsible for creating report templates and ad hoc reports. You will be helping in developing our analysis tools and processes. As a Trainee, Business Analyst you will be updating existing and creating new KPI’s (key performance indicators), assisting in analyzing data for trends and new ways to look at them and taking part in certain development projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities

● Help maintain the integrated profit margin and market share growth targets through analysis and strategic
  business reviews
● Support the implementation of Terminal Tractors strategy
● Support developing and execution of frontline sales plans based on financial targets set
● Provide central support and analysis to ensure customer satisfaction and areas of product improvement for our
  product offerings
● Develop and execute specific action plans in support of the overall pricing strategy
● Coordinate contract conditions, legal and commercial
● Provide customer intelligence for setting targets based on market needs in:
○ Pricing
○ Sourcing
○ Demand management
● Based in Ottawa, Kansas, this role will report to the Pricing Manager.

What you’ll need to succeed

●    3-4 years of studies for M.S/ B.S degree in an area of business, industrial engineering or other applicable field
●    International experience seen as an asset
●    Knowledge of Logistics business (Container terminal, intermodal facility, trucking industry,
      etc., is a plus
●    Initiative and self - guiding attitude
●    Willingness to learn and grow professionally
●    Systematic and proactive way of working
●    Technical skills in data analysis
●    At least basic understanding of business intelligence tools (QlikSense, Data Studio, Excel)
●    Ability to present and communicate business concepts to the Kalmar leadership team
●    Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
●    Ability to work up to 20 hours a week
