Indirect Procurement Specialist, MAU Ottawa

Purpose of the position

To represent Indirect Procurement in MAU Ottawa and ensure that Indirect procurement related business needs are fulfilled with high quality and professionalism. Ensure that best practices, policies and compliance is in place and followed in alignment with corporate and business area procurement as well as customers´ needs and expectations. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

●    To represent Indirect Procurement in MAU Ottawa 
●    To have a holistic understanding the stakeholders business needs in MAU Ottawa and secure that indirect procurement needs are fulfilled in high quality manner  
●    Responsible for purchasing goods and services for the MAU Ottawa and support global procurement teams in global sourcing  
●    Lead or support in the negotiations of Price, MOQ, Lead-time, Terms and Quality 
●    Build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders, business area and corporate procurement as well as within other teams. 
●    To ensure that best practices, policies and compliance is in place and followed in alignment with corporate and business area procurement. 
●    Active member and participation for BA and corporate indirect procurement meetings on a regular basis. And readiness to share information to BA and sourcing categories. 
●    Responsible contact person for sourcing@cargotec and store@cargotec implementation and use in the area.
●    Responsible for executing and supporting sourcing project requests from customers, vendors and colleagues. 
●    Provide support for tactical and support strategic sourcing activities when category & procurement execution managers are leading in following tasks, 
●    RFx process management and/or supporting tasks, contract creation, extension, termination, management & admin; manage supplier performance for defined suppliers, execute spot buys to support transactional
●    Supplier identification, market analysis, specification creation and analysis, tail spend management, value tracking, and sourcing and analytics support 
●    Identify process improvements: Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies 
●    Recognize unusual events or consistent problems and work with manager to resolve issues 
●    To document and report indirect procurement activities in that area. 
●    Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate. 
●    All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements 

What you’ll need to succeed

Education 
•    Minimum bachelor degree in finance or business Experience 
•    Min. 1 year of experience in the sourcing area, in particular related to sourcing and/or category management, preferably indirect procurement. 
Competencies 
•    Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills 
•    Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge in budget, cost & performance management 
•    Sourcing process execution knowledge (RFX processes, requirements gathering and collection), understanding of pricing models, contracting support execution 
•    Understanding in contracting and vendor management 
•    Good influencing and negotiation skills. 
•    Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines 
•    Google Office tools, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT) as an advantage 
•    Taking initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices 
•    Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required 
•    Good at communicating in a professional manner 
•    Display a strong work ethic and ability to comply with internal controls and policies 
•    International mind-set
