Global Category Manager, Cabins

The Category Leader is responsible for the sourcing and supply management for the Cabin category consisting of multiple business units globally. This position will lead the global category responsible team as well the cross functional team that creates, Implements and directs the Global Category Strategy. The Category Leader will drive the category strategy and translate business strategy into an aligned strategy, incorporating the KAMOS, Operations, and Sourcing strategy arrows into the category strategy. The Cabin  strategy leader will drive the strategy across  and influence synergies among divisions globally through the category strategy.

Main tasks and responsibilites:

  • Responsible for all aspects of people and team leadership for the Cabin Category team and for; setting expectations, coaching, providing vision, encouraging participation in decision making, developing competence, providing constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  •  Setting tone, motivation common purpose and specific expectations for cross functional team and direct reports where applicable to ensure success in the achievement of the business goals.
  • Attract, develop and retain the highest caliber sourcing professionals.
  • Communication link between KAMOS objectives and team
  • Setting expectations and overseeing the achievement of the individual objectives, monitoring performance and providing on-going feedback.
  • Review LEAD, GROW, Compass, and additional feedback to develop leadership style to continuously improve leadership to the team
  • Closely collaborate with operations, R&D and business division leaders ensuring impactful category strategy implementation.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with strategic suppliers according to the enhanced supplier relationship management as well as SRM process
  • Communicate Category vision and strategy to key stakeholders and the link between this and the KAMOS/Operations/Division/ strategies
  • Drive collaboration with strategic suppliers in order to drive disruptive technology, sustainability, cost down initiative, assure quality and delivery on time.

What you’ll need to succeed:


  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • MBA preferred


  • At least  8 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Management.
  • Sourcing experience with Electrification.


  • Management experience gained in a large multinational company with a matrix organizational structure essential.
  • Budget and business plan development and implementation.
  • Extensive experience in working with global teams and executing manufacturing/sourcing transfers is necessary.
  • Experience with Cabin Category Strategy development and implementation
