Division Buyer and Cost Analysis Specialist

Purpose of the position

Kalmar Mobile Solutions, the Terminal Tractor Division, is looking for a Division Buyer & Cost Analysis Specialist, to join and to secure total cost-efficient products and solutions within the TT Division area.

 

Division Buyer & Cost Analysis Specialist will be working together with our global organization, including Global Sourcing Team Members, R&D Team Members, Project Management Team Members, Sales and Markets, and Terminal Tractor Division Management. Will also actively collaborate with our global supply base.

 

The position will be based in our location in Ottawa. 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Contribute to TT Division Strategy and Sourcing strategy 

Actively participate in TT Division NPD and development projects by securing parts availability at the expected cost

Maintain relationship with existing supplier base and actively search for new sources to secure parts availability for ongoing NPD and development projects

Issue, send and track Purchase Orders for ongoing NPD and development projects

Make product cost and supply chain risk analyses for different scenarios in the Product Roadmap 

Keep track on costing, risk, quality and lead times for components needed in ongoing NPD and development projects

Support managing and delivering  costed  BOMs  to  the ongoing NPD and development projects from G1 until G5 (project end)

Run monthly cost development analysis on chosen BOMs in cooperation with global sourcing team

Present the outcome of monthly cost development analysis to all key stakeholders and maintain the cost system up to date

What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Supply Chain or similar interest and experience,

Understanding of sourcing & procurement activities,  Understanding of ERP systems

Understanding of Bill of Materials or product structuring preferred,

High level of analytical skills, able to structure and conclude from big data,

Experience in project management in a manufacturing environment is beneficial, but not mandatory,

Can-do attitude and the ability to approach challenges with enthusiasm and tenacity,

High level ability for cross functional team collaboration

Drive and result oriented

Proficient in presentation and communication -able to make sharp summaries.  Fluent in English
