Based in Ottawa, KS, our interns gain experience while providing technical and process improvement support for the Order Management Team. Will interface with Sales Support, Customer Engineering and MAUs globally in all phases of a customer order. Specific focus on supporting the Medium Terminal Tractor configuration process
 

Main tasks and responsibilities

●   Review sales order content with regard to complexity and configuration; identify concerns and escalate to the scheduling team.
●   Accurately create and release configured bills of material according to sales order specifications and aligned with production schedule. Revise bills of material when sales order specifications are changed.
●   Maintain software tools that support the creation of sales order bills of material. Create and improve configuration tools and processes to promote better efficiency, throughput, accuracy, and automation.
●   Support other departments within and outside the division with data and analyses of the product architecture and configured sales order history.
●   Review sales specifications and determine part numbers for sourcing / planning to verify long lead time components.
 

What you’ll need to succeed

●    College student (Junior or higher) majoring in Engineering or Business fields
●    Evidence of initiative, proactive problem-solving, and process orientation required
●    Preference given to candidates with previous work or classroom experience in similar tasks or manufacturing industry
●    Preference given to candidates possessing above-average spreadsheet and mathematical capabilities.
●    Preference given to candidates with experience in Google software suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms, Gmail, etc)

Working Together With 
May be required to work with TT RDE personnel globally, project managers, and Sourcing personnel.
