Purpose of the position

The Business Controller is responsible for the Market Area management accounting and reporting, including monthly reports, financial forecasts and annual planning. Target is to ensure harmonized, efficient and high quality support for sales and service operations within Market Area.  Securing availability and reliability of adequate financial information to support the business in decision-making and in the implementation of Kalmar strategy, targets and processes in Market Area. Also functions as BA HQ and Group  Finance & Control representative in the Market Area for real estate, treasury, tax and risk management matters. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure efficient and high quality service and sales admin support to Market Area Service and Sales functions including deployment of harmonized processes and procedures
  • Provide Market Area management team with financial information, business review and analysis and use this information to lead the planning, performance management, decision making and controlling processes.
  • Works as a business partner to prepare financial plans and estimates of future business plans, budget and strategy. Challenge the business and financial performance. 
  • Monitor and analyze monthly results for Market Area against plan and prepare and present financial performance reports according to BA guidelines and controls
  • Lead, manage and coach a team of finance professionals to ensure that controlling actitives are completed accurately and on time
  • Proactively advise the managers in matters related to support, risk management, business control and finance; Business partnership is key in the planning and executioin of the KAMOS business plan
  • Implement all Group and Kalmar BA policies, processes and tools in the Market Area
  • Ensure that all functions are well aware about the key controls, financial policies and know how to apply them
  • Member of the Market Area management team with responsibilities of finance function

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education -

  • University degree in business and economics or other relevant field of study

 

Experience -

  • A minimum of 7+ years of business control and/or financial control and/or sales and service support

 

Competences -

  • High knowledge and experience in support, finance and business control processes and activities
  • Ability to drive and develop processes and activities and clearly communicate and implement policies and principles
  • Ability to deal with complex analysis, forecasts and business cases on a major global scale
  • Willingness to improve current ways of working, tools, methods and processes. Ability to drive and execute change
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relations and trust with key stakeholders in the organization
  • Fluent in English and needed local language.
