Sales Support Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

 

Provide technical support to the sales team and customers to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs.This role can be located anywhere within the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Prepare technical specifications to all commercial staff and give support to meet their technical requirements and expectations, commercial conditions from sales, and delivery times from the factory.
  • Respond to inquiries from the organization's salesforce or customers about the technical aspects of the organization's products and services. 
  • Follow systems specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to configure systems that meet customer needs and articulate the value of the solution. 
  • Support key internal stakeholders in the promotion of products and solutions to appropriate end users through customer meetings, events and other channels. 
  • Create sales support material and documentation, including product bulletins.
  • Perform calculations such as mast moment, stability, and fork strength as required.
  • Correspond with attachment suppliers providing dimensions, drawings, or other technical information.
  • Liaison between local sales team and forklift & container handler product lines
     

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelors degree preferred 

 

Experience

  • 5 + years of industrial equipment engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in this area, can solve complex problems and is able to support/lead others and develop processes and ways of working

 

Competencies

  • Clear and informative communication of technical information with all levels and departments.
  • Teamwork attitude with high customer focus and sense or urgency.
  • Organizational skills are essential.
