Business Development Manager, MEQ Services

Purpose of the position

Based in Melbourne or Sydney and reporting to the Service Sales Director - Kalmar Mobile Solutions, you will be responsible for the leadership of service revenue opportunities for our mobile equipment business, across the Australian market in line with the organizations growth strategy. 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, qualify and pursue profitable opportunities within the Australian market
  • Leverage existing relationships and networks within the mobile equipment customer community to validate opportunities, gather intel, shape program requirements and position Kalmar for success
  • Influence the development of Kalmar systems' products and solutions to ensure they meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, social events and forums
  • Drive the continued evolution of Kalmar services maritime strategy and its effective implementation across the company

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education and Training

  • Engineering or trade (mechanical or electrical) background, coupled with sales experience

Work Experience

  • Several years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in heavy industry / maritime sectors 

Knowledge and Skills

  • English fluency is required
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Google Docs
  • Proficient with SAP and Salesforce
  • Sales and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Administration skills
