Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Kalmar Mobile Solutions is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join the Digitalization team of Kalmar’s Technology & Digitalization division. 



The purpose of the position is to adopt various approaches for the management of cyber security related activities in the Kalmar Mobile Solutions business unit. This involves Operational Technology product security which in itself includes: gateways, software solutions and control systems. 



You will be well-aware of the present emerging threat landscape and you will be prepared to implement the best practice controls and measures in order to prevent upcoming risks.



As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you are given the opportunity to collaborate with the Cyber Security community in other Business Units to scale up the best cybersecurity practices. 



The role reports directly to the Senior Manager and provides flexibility in terms of location. The preferred ones are Sweden or Finland, but candidates from other European countries will be reviewed also.



Main tasks and responsibilities:



  • Analyse the cyber security threats and impacts on our product security including gateways, software solutions and control systems
  • Manage Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL)
  • Develop the cyber security vulnerability testing process
  • Improve technical standards, processes, architecture and guidelines to mitigate cyber risks
  • Contribute to customer sales cases as cyber security expert and drive the customer requirements into standard practices
  • Collaborate with a skilled group of cyber security experts, architects, analysts, designers, developers and product managers to maintain cyber security best practises as part of our digital offering.

What you’ll need to succeed



  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Software Engineering or other similar relevant degree
  • 5+ years of cyber / information / product / systems development security work experience
  • Experience of performing network and/or application penetration testing
  • Experience and keen understanding of cybersecurity tools
  • Knowledge of relevant cyber security standards such as IEC 62443 or ISO 27001 is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of latest / emerging security technologies and concepts, threat management and incident handling.
