Kalmar is looking for an IM Expert, Data Modeling and Analytics who will design and develop Kalmar's data warehousing, reporting and analytics solutions built to Cargotec BI cloud. You will link business requirements to Kalmar data by doing the following activities: Data Modelling, Data Mapping and Data Loads all connected to Kalmar Reporting and Business Intelligence topics.


The position is available for all of our Finnish sites - Helsinki, Kaarina, Tampere and Poland, Gdansk and Stargard.


As an IM Expert, Data Modeling and Analytics, Support the creation of visual reports in QlikSense and Google.

Main tasks and responsibilities


  • Technical expert of Kalmar BI solution including data sourcing and warehousing 
  • Collects business requirements and translates those to specifications 
  • Defines data sourcing, creates data models for consumption with data engineers, maintains data catalog
  • Develops data analytics models
  • Testing data flows and data models 
  • Working closely with business stakeholders, solution experts, architects and technical development teams to reach the targets
  • Close cooperation with Kalmar Data Architect.

What you’ll need to succeed



  • Min Bachelor Degree from relevant field.



  • Min 2 years of relevant work experience.



  • Experience of e.g. database design, data modeling,  data warehousing, data integrations and data analytics
  • Hands-on experience in writing SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Big Query (or equivalent in other cloud platforms)
  • Some experience on mapping data requirements to business processes and data models
  • Being familiar with Python or similar data analysis programming language is a benefit
  • Being familiar with modern BI front-end tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Google Data Studio) is a benefit.
