Test Automation Framework Developer

Job Title: Test Automation Framework Developer

 

Overview:

As a part of the Test Team, Test Automation Framework Developer” will focus on creating and maintaining Test Automation Framework that would be used by Dev/QA in the ProdDev organization. One will add features requested, test, demo and document the capabilities. The candidate will bring in the industry standard capabilities to Test Automation Framework like mobile testing. The candidate will challenge the Developers/Architects and help build high quality and efficient products that serve the movement of containerized goods that drive the world economy.


Responsibilities:

1.     Work in Agile environment, develop new tools and maintain/re-engineer existing scripts

2.     Build and deliver meaningful testing capabilities, provide analytical assessments on usability, document, demo and enable operational capabilities

3.     Interpret business requirements and high level designs to detailed scenarios and build/maintain artifacts accordingly

4.     Actively collaborate with product development and architecture teams in improving the product quality and performance of Test Automation Framework


Qualifications:

Experience: 5-7 years

Education: BE/B.Tech (CSE/IT)

 

1.     Must be Java certified Programmer with extensive experience in automated testing tools and frameworks for a J2EE, C++ enterprise applications that use relational DB structures and App servers like Tomcat

2.     Experience with Groovy scripting, Java, Selenium automation and scripting

3.     Experience in debugging distributed applications on Windows, Unix operating systems

4.     Extensive experience in interpreting requests, brainstorming solutions, implementing and documenting solutions and building a robust test automation framework is a must

5.     Experience with UFT, TestNG, Maven and tools like Team City CI, SVN, Junit is mandatory

6.     Strong follow-through and initiative to stay with issues until they are resolved, along with discipline and tenacity to meet deadlines

7.     Creative and effective in oral and written communication, ability to communicate with all stakeholders in distributed teams

8.     Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and agile SSDLC environment
