MEQ Sales Representative, West Africa

Kalmar is looking for a MEQ Sales Representative, West Africa to be responsible for promoting and selling Kalmar Mobile Equipment and securing the Sales budget for West Africa. 
This position is based in Casablanca`s office in Morocco and requires intensive travelling to different locations within the assigned territory. The role is reporting to Manager, Sales and Services. 

You will cooperate with our clients and with the sales team.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships which generates future sales and repeat business, within the Port Terminals and Heavy Industry Sector
  • Define and take sales actions to meet the sales budget
  • Formulate and coordinate together with Manager, Sales and Services sales strategies and marketing campaigns to develop sales forecasts and  budgets
  • Identify potential customers and future trends changes
  • Contract negotiations following internal guidelines
  • Supervise and train distributors and/or sales force to achieve sales targets
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts in the organization
  • Together with the Manager, Sales and Services develop customer proposals to increase sales.
What you’ll need to succeed:

We are looking for highly motivated, responsible and striving to achieve results. 


Ideally you have:

  • Msc or Bsc Engineering / Management or any related to Economic or Marketing Degree
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position within port cranes, heavy plant/ industrial equipment or similar industry, in an international environment (Experience in Africa would be an advantage)
  • Full Command of French and English is a must
  • Strong communication skills and proactive mindset
  • Sales skills and clear customer focus
  • Total commitment to delivering customer service with first rate problem solving, planning and analytical skills
  • Capacity and ability to adapt to the changes, priorities and tight schedules.
