Sales Manager - South Island

Purpose of the position
We are currently seeking a highly motivated sales resource to drive sales and business development of the full Kalmar mobile equipment range of equipment in the South Island and other areas as required from time to time. The position can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Business Planning
- Participates in business planning and budgets as a core member of the sales team.
- Participates in sales forecasts and feasibility studies for new products and services.
- Prepares sales targets and budgets, and accounts for variances in results.
- Consolidate Market Area reports on business operations and provide to Cargotec Oceania management as required
- Product Management function to facilitate optimization of the range of products suitable for the NZ Market
- Ensure service providers and subcontractors are meeting minimum customer requirements
- Establish Value Analysis based pricing of Kalmar product and manage all discount and Pricing policies within company guidelines
Sales Performance
- Participate with approved sales and marketing policies and ensures that the sales function achieves objectives with maximum profitability.
- Ensure measurements of customer satisfaction are maintained and ensure active response inthe Market Area to effectively resolve customer complaints
- Ensure sales targets are achieved as per agreed budgets
- Assist with developing an adequate service network to ensure customers are supported.
- Work closely with service providers and sub-contractors
- Assist with the sale and resourcing of parts for the New Zealand market
- Assist to manage the company’s inventory investment through order process, sales and marketing strategies and timely and adequate corrective action to achieve inventory targets.
- Assist to develop a sales and marketing plan for the terminal tractor business
- Use the Kalmar CRM (Salesforce) to log and manage sales pipeline
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, commerce, engineering or a similar field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years experience in industrial sales across different job levels
- Experience in selling into the ports, timber or construction industries.
