Parts Sales Representative

Purpose of the position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated sales resource to drive sales of parts, service, remanufactured components and Insight.

Main tasks and responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Developing parts, remanufactured component, service and Insight sales 
  • Creating and converting Kalmar Care opportunities for scheduled service or full maintenance contracts 
  • Creating and converting parts sales contracts
  • Gathering competitive price information and feeding that back to the parts organization to allow development of a competitive price within the market
  • Visiting sites and meeting with various customer stakeholders (purchasing and maintenance) to promote Kalmar Services offering
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the functionality of Insight and use this application to track machine performance with the view of comparing actual parts sales to potential parts sales based on equipment utilization 
  • Build a strong working relationship with the regional service managers and equipment sales team to ensure we have a consistent approach to develop a profile on specific customers, our pricing strategy but also achieve our parts and service sales and profit targets.
  • Increase the aftermarket sales from current customers but more importantly creating service and parts sales to Kalmar equipment owners but who Kalmar does not do any aftermarket business with. 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications 
  • A mobile / heavy equipment background
  • Proven sales experience 
  • Pro-active individual with a can do attitude
  • Provide an Exceptional level of Customer Service at all times
  • Ability to travel as required for business purposes within the assigned territory 
  • Word, powerpoint and excel proficient  
  • Minimum year 10 high school, literacy in English language written and oral.  
  • Drivers license
  • Ability to participate in Cargotec training on and off the job with above average ability to learn and apply new skills.
     

Salary for the role is negotiable depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to join a global market leader. You must have the applicable rights to work in New Zealand/ Australia to be considered.
