Kalmar Spain is searching for a

 

Mechanical/Structural Project Engineer

 

For the Regional Cranes Upgrades Centre for EMEA South, Located in Algeciras, Spain, we are looking for a Mechanical/Structural Project Engineer, who being part of the Engineering Department Team, will be responsible of the Structural Calculations and Designs related to the projects assigned, and will support the Department in others Engineering or Project Tasks. Assigned to a project will be acting like a Project Engineer on Site, assuring the project meets all the requirements from the Engineering point of view and supporting the site manager during the project execution.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Structural Calculations and Structural designs for Cranes Upgrades Projects.
  • Assure on Site the project execution meets all the technical requirements from the Engineering Point of View.
  • Support the Site Manager in all the tasks from the Engineering point of view and related issues.
  • Solve the engineering issues during the execution, adapting design or procedures when needed.
  • Support the Department in all the Projects Phases on Site or during the Design Phase.
  • Collaborate with external Engineering Companies when needed and with the Customer Technical Department.
  • Check on  Site all the issue related with his work and task when needed
  • Collaborate and support the Department in all the Engineering and Project Task
  • Plan and Control the correct welding process and procedure according to the project
  • Assure the Structural Calculation; Manufacturing and Welding process meet the Project quality and technical requirements.

 

 

What you´ll need to succeed

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • MSc / BSc degree in Mechanical/structural Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of Experience in Similar Positon and Similar Industry.
  • Experience working on site.
  • Knowledge in steel structure design and fabrication.
  • Master degree or complementary education in Finite element Analysis will be highly appreciated
  • Advance Skills in FEM Analysis software such as  Solid works Simulation, ANSYS, SAP2000
  • Full Command of English is a must.
  • Fluent Spanish Spoken and Written
  • Advance Skills in CAD software such as Autocad (2D, 3D)
  • Windows Office / Google standard package (excel, word, etc…)

  • The position will requires travel to different countries within EMEAS area. The duration of the assignments will depend of each project.
