Purpose of the position
To strengthen our painting capabilities, we are looking for a Painting Process Quality Engineer based in Zaragoza (Spain).
In this position, you will work closely with our production engineering, R&D, and quality departments and with our painting partners to define the processes regarding equipment industrialization and product development, focusing on the Painting Process.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Based on the customer requirements, developing the painting technology and products to be used to meet the specifications
- Managing the authorization of defined processes and technical support to suppliers in their implementation
- Defining the Control Plan to ensure compliance with specifications
- Supervising the start-up production phase collaborating with manufacturing and quality to guarantee the required volumes and quality standards
- Leading the problem solving related to the painting system
- Monitoring the implementation of new equipment (tools, reference templates, control gauges, leak test systems, etc.) from concept to series production phase
- Supporting the various factory and corporate areas in their needs with the implementation of painting processes
- Collaborate in scouting and approving new paint suppliers; Manage suppliers regarding the equipment provided; Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D to evaluate the Process Risk Assessment and the critical issues during the assembly and material handling.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- Gained at least 4 or 5 years of dedicated experience in Painting Manufacturing Processes
- Fluent English is required for the position.
