Pricing Manager

Hiab’s Tail Lift business is looking for high potential candidates to join our pricing team who can combine commercial thinking with a data driven attitude. You will help build and manage our equipment and service pricing to increase our profitability significantly over the coming years. 

Past years we have built a pricing structure for parts pricing, now we are looking to improve equipment and service price management. Also, we have the ambition to build robust price performance reporting to support business leaders with price governance. We are looking for analytical pricing managers with strong quantitative / data science background.

As Pricing Manager you are responsible to develop models and analysis of our equipment pricing structure and to build the price reporting for our equipment, service and parts pricing. You will take part in assessing the data quality and actively managing data improvements as well as supporting the design and implementation of new pricing related systems, in particular our CPQ system. You will present your findings and reports to business stakeholders. You will work with our front line sales managers and sales reps to drive implementation and be a partner to our business product managers to help change their approach from cost plus to value pricing.

Place of work: UK Witney
Ability to global travel is required.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Annual price review: develop equipment price structure, analyse market prices with sales regions and analyse alignment of current equipment prices, develop proposals for new equipment prices, taking the unique differentiation of our products versus competition into account
  • Manage change and relationship with the product managers to discuss their product development and the value differentiation they achieve for our customers, provide feedback to them how the prices of their products develop 
  • Price change process: follow market price trends, analyse and report changes, analyse alignment to our price structure, propose updates if required
  • Develop price performance reporting for all our deals, aligning the current parts price performance reporting and building equipment and service price reporting
  • Manage change and relationship with sales regions to discuss their price development and deal performance, feeding them back their price performance and understanding the development of competitor prices and customer preferences in their market.
     
What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Holds a Master degree in data science, engineering or exact science, economics, econometrics or business administration (MBA). 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with pricing roles in a multinational company
  • Good to have a background within consultancy and/or as Trainee
  • Delivers results, preserving his/her own work-life balance and open to receive coaching on this
  • Manages business priorities and customer needs
  • Demonstrates self-awareness
  • Develops oneself and seeks feedback. Change and continuous improvement are starting point in all activities
  • Change manager, able to convince senior managers and lower level of new way working
  • Excellent analytical and data science skills, both in analysing data to relevant conclusions and in structuring data sources and improving data quality
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire deep skills in a business analysis software package (e.g. Google Docs, Excel, SAS or any other) 
  • Experience in or keen interest for change management
  • Business acumen
  • Project management
  • Experience in or keen interest for working in complex, cross-functional and global teams
  • Highly motivated, "hands on", energized, passion and commitment for pricing
  • Autonomous and team player with ability to balance these two
