Technical Support Representative - Liftgates

Compensation Data
Salary starting from $70,000 per year based on skills and experience.
Purpose of the position
The position is responsible for supporting the technical support team in various capacities. The objectives are to service customer (both internal and external) with help in resolving technical issues.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers
- Occasional regional travel to investigate technical issues
- Occasional onsite training of customers on Waltco products
- Other tasks related to improving the customer experience (reducing downtime, costs, etc.) as necessary
Accountabilities:
- Weekly meetings via video with the technical support team
- Ensuring positive experience from support requests
- Timely expense reporting
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Working experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical/mechanical capacity
- Job experience that includes mechanical/electrical experience and/or knowledge. Knowledge of hydraulic and DC electrical systems and components preferred
Competence and skills:
- Must work well in a team environment
- High integrity and personal responsibility
- Trustworthy and ethical
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Proficient in use of computers, email, Microsoft Office Suite (and similar programs), web-based applications
- Organized and excellent time management
- This position requires knowledge of control systems, hydraulics, and electrical
