The Site Procurement Specialist will be a main driver for identifying, leading and executing on sourcing projects, onboarding new global suppliers, managing supplier scorecard process, improving supplier performances, and overseeing all day-to-day sourcing initiatives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

•    Drive execution of assigned sourcing projects from cradle to grave within established timeline and with smooth transition
•    Work closely with category sourcing managers and operations to onboard new suppliers and manage supplier transitions to meet strategic business objectives
•    Monitor and manage supplier on-time delivery and quality performance to assure supplier capability to meet production requirements
•    Collaborate with planning and production to resolve shortage issues when escalated, investigate root causes, and develop recovery plans both internally and with suppliers, involving category sourcing rep as required or needed
•    Work closely with planning to ensure optimal setup of ordering parameters in the system to reflect the changing supply vs demand dynamics
•    Engage and drive all stakeholders to improve communication between Hiab and suppliers to meet both current and future business goals
•    Aggressively drive supplier improvement actions in quality, capacity, capability, and cost, and engage/manage all stakeholders as needed
•    Manage day-to-day sourcing processes including, but not limited to, indirect purchase requisition management, PPV analysis, and supplier master data maintenance
•    Manage supplier JIT, blanket, or other stocking contracts and review on a regular basis to ensure they are up-to-date and satisfy business requirements
•    Optimize inbound logistics, including international freight, in conjunction with material management, logistics team, suppliers and 3rd party logistics providers.
•    Identify, develop, and implement process improvements in sourcing, supply management, and related areas
•    Implement LSS principles throughout supply chain
•    Work on other tasks or projects as assigned to meet the business and department goals.

What you’ll need to succeed

•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or equivalent
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar functions with at least 3 years in sourcing
•    Experience working in steel fabrication and/or hydraulics is required
•    Experience working with global suppliers is required
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Strong project management skills
•    Strong sense of urgency
•    CPSM or other professional supply management or purchasing certificate is preferred
•    Certificate in Lean Six Sigma is preferred
