Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Hiab is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who will promote & develop a culture of LEAN, continuous improvement and operational excellence. The position will be based in Streetsboro, Portage County, Ohio, United States and will be reporting to Director, Operations.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Promote & develop a culture of LEAN, continuous improvement and operational excellence 
  • Ownership of the manufacturing engineering strategy so as to deliver the factory of the future manufacturing vision using best in class manufacturing techniques
  • Provide professional development for manufacturing engineers
  • Responsible for plant maintenance
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance and improvement of production methods, ensuring that HS&E requirements are adhered to. 
  • Leadership within the factory operations organization, safety first culture 
  • Promote & develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education:


●    Degree caliber preferably Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering
●    Msc or post graduate qualification in manufacturing
●    (Lean 6 sigma Black or Green belt)

 

Experience:


●    7 to 10  years’ experience in a working in a manufacturing engineering
●    5 years’ experience in a management role
●    Knowledge of techniques and tools for process improvement (LEAN six sigma).
●    In depth knowledge and experience of DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
●    Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD and ERP systems.
●    Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production
