Warranty Specialist

Purpose of the position

Purpose 
The purpose of this role is to perform claim and warranty administration, manage the Parts Return process, parts evaluation, sub-supplier claiming and problem resolutions. Your main priority is to serve our customers to secure up-time and secure that the stakeholders get fast feedback to continuously improve.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Processing of warranty claims (suppliers reclaiming, parts returning, accounting, invoicing, formal administration), co-ordinating and providing feedback between FrontLine/Distributors, factory (MAU).
  • Permanent contact with technical support team for information dissemination, feedback from claims, advising.
  • Trend analysis for Warranty claims (CDI’s, 3MW, Warranty) and costs.
  • Developing process solutions to monitor Warranty data (conducting meetings, discussions) regarding problems reported by customers/ FLU’s
  • Ad hoc statistics and analysis to all stakeholders, e.g. Mau’s quality department, technical support, management or sourcing.
  • Suppliers claiming and follow up. Reporting and following up of KPI’s on supplier performance
  • Suppliers warranty management and constant process improvement
  • Suppliers warranty cost monitoring and reduction
  • Co-ordinate Service letter administration and follow up
  • Warranty trainings conduction and support to FLU’s and Importers 
  • Coordination and follow up of outstanding and high cost claims.
  • Taking part in Warranty related projects 
  • Substitutions in other areas in accordance with the supervisor's guidelines
     

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education:
Technical and/or Financial education (academics degree will be an advantage). 
 

Working experience:

  • Previous experience in working with warranty, quality issues, supplier claims or similar
  • Knowledge of Hiabs internal Warranty and claim processes
  • Continuous Improvement, Six-sigma, Lean, 8D and APQP background advantageous Basic supply chain and logistics

 

Competence and skills:

  • Computers skills and common office applications
  • Good knowledge of processes, organization and products within different product lines
  • Understanding customer’s business and needs
  • Cross-cultural competence
  • Ability to work independently and to make own decisions within main duties
  • Customer oriented, positive and helpful attitude
     

Language skills:

  • You have very good English language skills both spoken and written. One more language like Polish, Finnish, Swedish would be an asset.
