Senior Project Manager, Governmental Business Operations

This position is part of Hiab’s Governmental Business Operations unit that leads the sales, service and project management of the Defence segment customers.
● Lead and manage strategic large and complex projects that resolve identified business needs and deliver project targets.
● Drive and own overall direction, planning and coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, deadlines, budget and goal including acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Main tasks and responsibilities

● Responsible for managing, leading and delivering large and complex projects including possible multiple product lines/functions from beginning to end. Lead project and functional teams to achieve project objectives on schedule, quality and on budget.
● Responsible for ensuring all contractual and technical obligations are fulfilled. Establish and maintain a risk register for assigned projects. Ensure that all external and internal requirements are resolved before delivery using perspectives and resources from within and outside the project teams.
● Deliver the project results as agreed with the steering group and apply advanced understanding of company's businesses to improve project cost effectiveness, apply change management, risk management and opportunity management principles and improve project margin. Promote company mission, vision and values throughout the delivery of the project.
● Plan, manage and coordinate all the activities during project execution, such as resourcing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning.
● Provide the main interface and develop and maintain a confident and positive relationship with the customer, steering group, project owner and other participants in the project.
● Lead project team. Challenge, guide, develop and coach senior managers to continuously improve and deliver the results.
● Authority to demand proper plans and documents from sub project leaders and team members.
● Manage project budget
