Field Service Engineer

Purpose of the position

We are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team, who will be based from home and covering but not limited to the North Eastern area. There may be an occasional demand for the ideal candidate to work out of and South of the depot at Londonderry (DL7 9NB). 

The position is commutable from Durham, Darlington, Northallerton and Middlesbrough or anywhere in between. Consideration will still be given to any candidates outside of this area.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Main tasks and responsibilities include maintaining, servicing, repairing and testing our range of load handling equipment, including truck-mounted cranes, demountables, skip loaders and truck mounted forklifts.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Demonstrable technical experience with a similar, mobile service role;
• Necessary experience of working with relevant mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems;
• Existing knowledge of some of the following plants would be beneficial: loader cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, forestry cranes, demountable and skip loaders;
• Flexibility with regards to travel, tasks performed, and working hours;
• Should be comfortable working independently and be an effective problem solver;
• Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills;
• Full Driving licence.
