Purpose of the position
The Technical Trainer will administer, develop, and facilitate Technical Training for HIAB USA Inc. Dealers, and Service Partners, and Internal Employees.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Provide a quality educational experience to technicians in the following areas:
- General Product Knowledge
- Electrical Systems and Theory
- Hydraulic Systems and Theory
- Engines and Electronic Engine Control Systems
- Equipment Inspection and repair
- MOST Train the Trainer
- Product Installation in some cases
- Create and develop new course content
- Classroom training (presentations)
- Instructional videos and tutorials
- Hands-on activities and training.
- Continuously upgrade, and expand our current training offerings to meet our product technology requirements
- Create and provide new model introduction course materials
- Assist with the management of our Master Technician Program
- Provide technical support for Technicians as needed
- Provide information and reports as required to meet the needs of HIAB USA’s management
- Investigate, select and recommend equipment, services, tools, training aids, components, etc.
- Assure that the department has the proper equipment to present quality training
- Promote and market service training to our dealers and customers
- This position will require travel
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Working experience:
- Successful training program development and facilitation experience preferred
- Strong technical and diagnostic experience
Skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of material handling equipment, products, dealerships, and industry
- Excellent organization, preparation and presentation skills
- Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format
- Proficient in Microsoft Oce, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent group dynamics and presentation skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
